Frostbite
Frostbite occurs when the skin is exposed for a long period of time to extremely cold temperatures. It appears on nose, ears, toes and fingers but may also appear on other parts of the body. Frostbite may cause permanent damage, so it is advised to watch out when being exposed to cold temperature.
Wear layers of nonrestricting clothes, check for numbness on various parts of your body. Loss of color, or any other strange skin behaviour may indicate frostbite.
When frostbite occurs, try to warm the area as soon as possible without rubbing it, remove any wet clothes. Rubbing the skin exposed to cold temperature may lead to further damage.
